2023 Trend Predictions - In the Marketing World

So at the beginning of every year, I like to sit down and make some epic predictions on whats going to be happening throughout the year. I've done this since I was little on everything from fashion, colour trends, Christmas themes, holidays destinations and so making a prediction on what 2023 will have in store for marketing only seemed natural! ✨️

Save this blog to come back to when you are assessing your business goals 💻

Number 1

FAST RESPONSE TIME - this is a no-brainer and common sense to all customer service representatives but what we now need to do in the digital world is work out ways in which we can be even faster across all digital platforms. Whether you hire a full-time customer service team or opt for a customer service chatbot, I highly recommend that you make it the top of your priority this year.

Number 2

BLOGGING WILL MAKE A COMEBACK- and oh my I'm so excited for this little gem to become more popular again. Remember those days of sitting in your bedroom and writing about all things beauty, fashion, art etc. As social media took off, blogging kind of took a step back. But this year it's making a reappearance! We've already started to see influencers reactivate their old blog accounts (remember That Pommie Girl? Yup Sarah Ashcroft is back) and so we can expect to see a trend in customers expecting that same level of detail from brands they choose to shop with.

Number 3

AI - We will definitely start to see more B2C customers using AI. I mean the world just got mind blown with Jasper Ai and all of its content, so it will be really cool to see how B2C start to integrate this into their marketing strategies

Number 4

PHYSICAL EXPERIENCES - during lockdown we saw a boom in online shopping trends, but when the world started to reopen, people's shopping habits changed once again. We started to really appreciate every aspect of physically holding a product, buying a coffee, and socialising with friends. Online shopping is still huge and extremely important for shoppers, however so is physical experiences. The brands that fail to recognise this will, unfortunately, be left behind. If you're not wanting to invest big time (and I get why) try looking for pop-up spaces

Number 5

SOCIAL COMMERCE SHOPPING- By this, I mean keeping your audience on the social media platform without having to redirect them to another site. Tagging your products within each social media platform and allowing your shoppers to checkout on the account, is a game changer for 2023.

Number 6

VIDEO CONTENT - We all know how big video content became in 2022 and we expect to see this trend continuing to boom throughout 2023. If you've not yet come around to it, use the next week or so to read up on everything you can. There are tonnes of simple and easy ways that you can get video to work for you.

And that’s it for my 2023 predictions! If this is your year to really kick-start your marketing and social media strategy, get in touch and book your consultation call to get you on the right path for levelling up your biz!
